The exhibition L’herbe est toujours plus verte ailleurs (“The Grass Is Always Greener Elsewhere”) unfolds around artist Sai Li’s memorable summer spent with friends in the South of France. Beginning with everyday life, the project extends into a series of paintings and functional objects.

The exhibition reflects a mutual imagination of elsewhere: while living within their own daily realities, the artist and her French friends found themselves longing for each other’s lives. Between “here” and “elsewhere,” ordinary moments are gently re-seen, becoming more vivid, intimate, and real.
